Jeremy Shannon, Pastor
Jeremy has been serving with FBC Fort Thomas since December 2017. He is originally from Lexington, KY and has served at churches in Cynthiana, KY and Cordova, TN. He is a graduate of Georgetown College and received his Masters of Divinity from Baptist Seminary of Kentucky. He is married to his wife Jenni and they have three children: a daughter named Crosley and twin boys named Asher and Henry.
Jeremy is passionate about helping churches figure out their unique calling and how they can use their gifts and skill sets to impact the kingdom. He believes that it is time for the church to serve as a reminder that the Gospel really is good news.
In his spare time he loves spending time with his family, obsessively following the Cincinnati Reds and Kentucky Wildcats, and trying out any and every restaurant imaginable. He is a proud 2014 inductee to the White Castle Craver Hall of Fame!

Miriam Fuller, Worship Leader
Miriam has been a member of First Baptist since 1989 and has been serving as the Worship Leader since 2008.
"I've been in church since I was born. My parents took me to church and my mom saw to it that I was in every children's program growing up, which included all the choir programs. At the age of three I sang 'When I Survey the Wondrous Cross' as a solo (with the help of the director, of course!)." When Miriam was in the Second grade, her mother "made" her take piano lessons. "Mom told me, one day, that she wanted me to play for church. I didn't like that idea because I didn't like playing in front of anyone at the time. I don't think she realized the full impact she had on me and how God would use her idea and increase it, so many years later."
"I love my church family at First Baptist and I like planning worship for them. It is a true sense of fulfillment serving God by serving His people."
Miriam is a fifth generation Campbell Countian and lives in Cold Spring (where she grew up). She has two cats, Tippy and Stella, and loves all animals. She enjoys flower and vegetable gardening, entertaining friends, and doing a little woodworking when time allows. Miriam likes authors Max Lucado and Chuck Swindoll, and singers/musicians Steven Curtis Chapman, Matt Maher, and Travis Cottrell, to name just a few.
Miriam also serves the First Baptist Church in Cold Spring as the Administrative Assistant full time during the week.
Debbie Mershon, Ministry Assistant
Debbie has been a member of First Baptist Church since 1992. She served the church many years by working with children in a volunteer capacity because she loves children. She still does that today. In December of 2011, she became the Ministry Assistant. She loves working for the church as well as volunteering because she feels serving people is what she should be doing.
Debbie is married to her husband, Walter. They have 4 adult children and 2 granddaughters. Their grandchildren are the apples of their eyes. They both love to travel and they go as many places as they can together. Walter is a huge Bengals fan but Debbie likes the Cincinnati Reds better.
They both love music. Debbie loves many genres of music as long as it is done well. She probably listens to country and praise music the most. There are many praise artists that she thinks are good, but Mercy Me is her all time favorite.
Along with listening to music, she has other hobbies. She loves to scrapbook, make her own cards by stamping, and sewing. She says that Life is good and she loves serving her Savior.
Kaitlyn runion, children’s minister
Kaitlyn grew up in Independence, Kentucky, just twenty minutes south of her current Fort Thomas home. She graduated from the University of Kentucky where she studied ancient history and languages, and served at the Baptist Campus Ministry.
When she was just eight years old she helped her dad lead Sunday School, and grew up to lead classes of her own, teaching toddlers about loving Jesus, and serving as a church Children's Director.
She lives in town, just around the corner from Woodfill Elementary with her microbiologist husband, Jeremy, and their one year old son Martin.
Her family loves to explore Kentucky, taking hikes through our beautiful forests. In her free time Kaitlyn loves to take Martin to Tower Park, visit local libraries, practice face painting, and bake lots of bread.
Kaitlyn's family loves our Fort Thomas community and hopes to build close friendships that honor God and bring us and our children closer to him.
